A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning when a semi truck hit him while he attempted to walk underneath one of its trailers, police said.
The 21-year-old man was crossing the road at Fremont and Howard streets around 12:30 a.m. Sunday when the truck struck him and dragged him down the street.
A truck with two trailers was passing by as the pedestrian crossed, and police said he tried to walk underneath its second trailer.
The man, whose leg was crushed, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, police said.
The truck driver remained on the scene. No arrests have been made.
