  1. I thought they already had some sort of cameras/road sensors set up here for when people drive through without paying so they can send them a ticket. I know they sure have one on the Oakland Bay Bridge – may or may not have accidentally gone through FasTrak a few times with no transponder! Wonder why Oakland Bay Bridge isn’t cashless either.

    • @Natalie: You’re absolutely right. Occasional Bay Area bridge toll scofflaws like you — and me, LOL — get a “toll evasion” notice in the mail, sometimes with a penalty attached (that is easily waived, BTW). This new system will automate the billing process and not charge a penalty unless the toll isn’t paid within three weeks.
