Giants Fan Fest fuels Orange and Black frenzy

We’re pretty sure the championship champagne high has finally worn off for Giants players. Giants fans, though, seem to just be getting started.

Thousands of San Francisco Giants backers flooded into AT&T Park Saturday for 2013 Giants Fan Fest, swarming the field for autographs or even a glimpse of their favorite players.

SFBay photographer Frank Leal was on hand to capture fans in and around the ballpark engulfed in Orange and Black ecstasy, from a two-year-old stepping onto major-league turf for the first time, to a bunch of guys wearing ski goggles standing alongside a home-made World Series trophy.

The trick now for many of the 40,000-plus who attended Fan Fest will be to bide their time until the 2013 regular season fires up again on April 1 against the hated Dodgers.
