Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Grande Circle on Thursday shortly before 9:30 p.m., Fairfield police Lt. Stephen Crane said.
Arriving officers found Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Crane said.
Johnson was a Fairfield resident, according to Crane. Detectives are investigating the homicide and no further details were available.
