The sheriff’s office received a call at about 8:50 p.m. Thursday of an armed robbery at 1191 Laurel St., according to the sheriff’s office.
Officials said the suspect entered the laundry, threatened an employee with a knife and demanded money.
The sheriff’s office is withholding the amount of money taken for the purpose of the investigation.
The sheriff’s office is describing the man as Hispanic, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, in his 20s and heavy set.
He was wearing a black hat and a light blue jacket, possibly a jean jacket.
Deputies said the suspect was last seen on Laurel Street near Greenwood Avenue in San Carlos.
