Vallejo police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide Thursday evening that killed two people and left a third in critical condition.
Police responded to a reported shooting in the 1000 block of Songwood Road at 5:40 p.m. today and found a male subject outside the home with a gunshot wound.
Officers found two additional subjects with gunshot wounds, a male and a female, inside the home. They were treated by medical personnel at the scene but both died.
The subject found outside the home was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the incident appeared to be a murder-suicide, but withheld further details and the names of victims pending notification of next of kin.
