Emeryville’s Pixar wins best animated feature at Oscars

Emeryville’s Pixar Animation Studios won best animated feature film tonight at The 88th Academy Awards.

Pixar’s Pete Docter and Jonas Rivera won for “Inside Out,” which tells the story of a girl from the Midwest whose father takes a new job and moves the family to San Francisco, Pixar’s website says.

Inside Riley are five emotions narrated by five different speakers who guide Riley through her new life in a new house, city, and school.

Sometimes the emotions are in turmoil.

Pixar has produced animated short and feature films for more than 25 years, the company’s website says.
