Officers responded to John F. Kennedy Drive and 30th Avenue around 6 p.m. on report of a fatal hit and run.
Investigators determined that a 41-year-old woman had been traveling east on a bicycle on John F. Kennedy Drive when a white Honda traveling in the opposite direction struck her and fled.
The vehicle was found nearby at the Angler’s Casting Club, abandoned, and determined to have been reported stolen.
Nicky Garcia, 19, was identified as a suspect and arrested today on suspicion of murder, second degree burglary, vehicular manslaughter and other violations, according to police.
