Despite a layer of smoke in Oakland, produced by the fires currently blazing in the Napa-Sonoma area, their Sunday afternoon tilt with the Los Angeles Chargers will go as scheduled, according to a press release put out by the team Friday.
The team will continue to monitor the air quality and, if the situation worsens, could postpone the game or change the site.
As reported, weekend wind conditions could cause the fire to spread, thus worsening the Bay Area air, which has already forced the closure of about 600 Bay Area schools.
Fans will be kept abreast of any changes made to the Raiders’ schedule via the team’s social media accounts, the team said via release.
