A flash flood watch has been issued for the North Bay valleys and mountains for Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning, National Weather Service officials said Tuesday.
The watch is in effect from 4 p.m. Wednesday until 3 a.m. Thursday and includes the burn scars from the Atlas, Tubbs, Nuns and Pocket fires as well as the Fountaingrove neighborhood in northeast Santa Rosa.
Heavy rain is expected to fall and could cause debris flows, mudslides and flash flooding, weather officials said.
Napa County officials said residents and business owners can go to http://www.countyofnapa.org/
NapaFireComplexErosionControl/ to get information on erosion control measures and places to pick up sandbags.
