San Leandro residents asked to shelter-in-place

Police are asking residents in a San Leandro neighborhood to shelter in place Thursday evening as they search for a suspect.

The shelter-in-place advisory is for residents on Marina Boulevard between Wayne Avenue and Pacific Avenue, police said on social media around 7:55 p.m.

A police K-9 is helping officers with the search.
