A small submarine that had been stolen in Berkeley was found abandoned and adrift, then was towed to Emeryville early Sunday morning, according to police.
Police and firefighters responded to a report of a vessel drifting in the water around 12:30 a.m. They determined there was no one onboard and towed it to the Emeryville marina.
It turned out to be registered, but police said the owner was unavailable to recover it, so they transported it to a secure location.
