A woman was arrested in Petaluma after a traffic stop led to the discovery of fentanyl and more than $3,000 in cash late Monday night, according to police.
The suspect, identified as Monica Solorio, was the driver of an SUV that police determined was a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Fifth Street around 10:50 p.m.
As police began to approach the vehicle, a man walked out and was later identified as being on probation. Officers then spoke to Solorio and discovered, with help from a police canine, that she was in possession of around 102 grams of fentanyl, illegal prescription medications, digital scales and the cash.
Solorio has been booked into Sonoma County Jail.
