Westside San Francisco residents will soon have a chance to take City College classes closer to home, a city official’s office said Tuesday.

City College is expanding classes to the Sunset District starting with the Spring 2020 term, Supervisor Gordon Mar’s office said.

Mar is scheduled to announce the change Wednesday at an 11:30 a.m. news conference at Wah Mei School at 1400 Judah St. in San Francisco.

City College classes are free for all San Francisco residents and begin the week of Jan. 13.
