While it still might be a long-time coming, commercial crab fishermen could eventually receive federal disaster relief money for last year's aborted season.
The upcoming Dungeness crab season appears to be headed in a good direction, according to the state's Department of Fish and Wildlife.
During normal seasons, the state's crab fishery is worth an estimated $65 million and involves the participation of roughly 600 vessels.
