San Franciscans, French nationals and supporters lit candles outside the French Consulate on Kearny Street to honor the memory of those slain in Friday night’s coordinated terrorist attacks on Paris that killed more than 120 people.
Even as events unfolded in the French capital, young and old alike paused to support a French nation immersed in grief and mourning. Bombs and gunfire erupted at as many as five sites across Paris Friday, killing or injuring hundreds of innocents as they enjoyed dinner, drinks, a soccer match, or a heavy metal concert with no sense of the horror to come.
