  1. A better solution to the F is to extend the auto reductions on Market further out. F cars are frequently idle behind auto congestion between Church and Van Ness. Removing the congestion would make the trains run more smoothly, increase vehicle and driver utilization, increase capacity, and might encourage more people to ride. Doing the reverse will discourage ridership and may increase drivers on the road causing congestion.
