  1. Yes, SFMTA absolutely needs a day pass, as described in this article.
    But it must be made available to clipper and red ticket vending machines. Limiting it to a smart phone app is it bad idea.
    Many senior/disabled are low income and do not have a smart phone. And would have no access to this day pass.
    And yes if you are a frequent daily writer you should have a monthly pass.

        • Mark, you want muni to behave more like a private a company, but private companies raise prices. At the same time, you say you’re don’t want automatic fare indexing. How do you think private companies raise prices? When business conditions – like inflation – force them too.
